Papermaking Basics Workshop, Studio Two Three, $45

Discover how to produce handmade paper with low-tech methods yielding high-end results. Learn how to prepare kozo (inner bark of a mulberry tree), beat fiber, pull sheets, and wrap basic sculptural forms. Experimenting with natural fibers, we will create sheets and work three-dimensionally.

KERRI CUSHMAN is a sculptural book artist who teaches papermaking, bookbinding, and letterpress printing at Longwood University in Farmville, VA. She holds an MFA from Columbia College Chicago (2004), exhibits her work internationally, and is the proprietor of Performing Goats Press.
